Questions

Has Heavenly Father ever asked you to do something really hard for you? Something that seemed so at odds with the circumstances that you had no idea how or why you should do it? Maybe it was something involving your job or school, or maybe it was something involving another person and their agency.
How did you move forward when everything else seemed to push you back?

  1. Quoting your question, Ari: “Has Heavenly Father ever asked you to do something really hard for you?”

    All. The. Time.

    Ongoing. Constant.

Quoting your second question: “How did you move forward when everything else seemed to push you back?”

Keep trying. Also learn what I need to learn. Sometimes abruptly, the bushes and brambles part.

    Of course…

Also sometimes when the bushes and bramble abruptly part, that is when you fall face first into a stream or a mud puddle.

    But progress is progress.

Picture this: After a winter day of being snow-soaked constantly, you fall through the ice in a river, escape that with your strength rapidly disappearing and sickness enveloping every cell in your body…only to find yourself at the mouth of the river trying to look out across the lake to safety. but all you see is a blinding white-out blizzard…and can only guess at the direction of safety and warmth and medical attention…knowing it is impossible for you to try and find it in more than one try because you just don’t have the strength.

So you pray and trust and walk for miles…and when you fall, a lot, you simply struggle to your feet, just placing one foot in front of another. Making jokes to keep your mind occupied and stay lucid…and your optimism high.

    Life is sometimes like that.

    Never give up.
